The heart of this 1967 R/S Camaro Resto-Mod is the 468 big block with an Eagle 4340 balanced crank, JE pistons, forged rods, Clevite bearings, JE rings, Pete Jackson quiet gear drive, Comp Cams solid roller cam, roller lifters, Magnum roller rockers, Magnum pushrods, retainers and 10 degree locks. The heads are mildly ported with ARP studs, Manley valves and springs that will handle up to a .700 lift. All of the pulleys are billet with a 1 wire chrome alternator. An Edelbrock Performer manifold was used for cruising with a Bill Mitc Hardcore race prepped Holley 870 carb estimated to put out over 550 hp. This engine has the sweetest Pro-Street sound you have ever heard! The power is put to the posi rear end with 3:08 gears via a performance built Turbo 400 transmission with a shift kit. This eye-catcher is a perfect example of an awesome Southern car being tastefully restored with a Pro-Touring flare. The frame-off restoration started by completely disassembling all the body panels which were all bead blasted and covered in primer before being coated with 3 coats of PPG DCU paint which is the best PPG makes. It was also treated to 3 coats each of surfacer, sealer and base color with 5 coats of clear. The firewall was also smoothed and painted as were the inner fenders. The interior was beautifully upgraded with real black leather including the seats, dash pad, headliner and door panels. It is further enhanced with a billet steering wheel, levers and pedals as well as custom retractable seat and shoulder belts. The 17 inch chrome rally rims complete the Pro-Touring look and really set themselves apart from newer billet styled wheels. The suspension upgrades include a QA1 coil over set up on the front which has all new components. The rear mono leaf suspension has been modified with Helwig sway bars, sub-frame connectors and Monroe air shocks. It also has new 4 wheel disc brakes with all new components and lines. The restoration was completed 2 years ago at which point the odometer was reset to zero and currently shows 1,956 miles.
